Tokyo Express Food in Fort Walton Beach

I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is AMAZING. Huge portions, cooked to order, always tasty, and they have an awesome yum yum sauce. The staff is very polite and helpful. I often have to make modifications to my meals for health reasons, and they are always willing to accommodate me. I have never had an order messed up or wrong. I eat here at least 4 times a week.

What's not to love about Tokyo's, I mean it's fast and friendly, large portions and it ALWAYS tastes good. Hands down the best place for this type of food. The Jasmine white rice they use is what sets everything off and the flavor is outstanding.

The guy who answered the phone was short and rude. Asked a few questions about the vegetables and I must have inconvenienced him enormously. The curry was dry and bland. Asked for chicken with mixed vegetables and to make it spicy. That wasn't what we got. Dry rice with bland chicken in an unidentifiable sauce. Definitely will not be going back anytime soon

i order some fried dumplings tonight and i was almost done eating and i had a piece of metal in my mouth then i found one on top bedded into the dumpling. i ate here before and it was decent but NEVER AGAIN !

Good Chinese food at a decent price. Open 11am-10:30pm Monday-Friday and 11am-10pm on Sunday. There's seating on the inside but mostly made for to go orders.

Here TDY! Had the Hibachi chicken and steak dinner... take out! The food was excellent... The portion could have fed 2... the fried rice had lots of pork... plenty of veggies as meats! Enjoy!

The food is ok. The establishment seems to be a little dirty.

It was our First time eating here and it was amazing, the portions are huge for the price which honestly I think it's underpriced. The quality was fresh we had the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp fried rice we were thinking small typical Asian food style take out containers instead we got two full size styrofoam take out boxes (like at red lobster or Olive garden) filled to the brim of food. It is worth every penny and we will be coming back.

Great American Chinese. Large portions for a good price. Great tasting items. Mongolian beef and broccoli with some wontons are great go to items.

If I could give zero stars I would. This food is DISGUSTING. The WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had. THEIR RICE IS MADE OF PLASTIC !!! The Chicken was all breading, and slimy. I had a few bites of my food & threw it away. I will never eat here again. And telling everyone I know not to. My husband & I were in the bathroom for hours with horrible stomach pains after just a few bites. I get Chinese food is not the healthiest thing, but you get in the mood for it bow & then...this was completely tasteless. Do not waste your money. I know the prices are tempting but you’ll be hugely disappointed & sick

The place isn't fancy, but the food is great!

Let me start by saying this restaurant serves delicious Chinese food & Chinese style hibachi. I stopped for my first visit expecting a Japanese style hibachi take out, totally not that and that’s my mistake. I ordered the Japanese Style Hibachi Steak with fried rice, and it’s delicious - but most definitely Chinese style. The egg role was mediocre, and had a frozen taste unlike the rest of the fresh tasting entree. I could not find a menu posted on google so I’ve loaded pictures!As for sanitation, I’ll say it’s a cultural difference. It truly felt like I was in Asia again at a traditional small eatery, door wide open, no ac inside, workers often jumped up to check food in between bites of their own, swept while serving and cooking, grungy walls/ceilings, didn’t bother checking he bathrooms. I would stop again for take out.

If you eat inside, they stare at you the entire time! Not a good place to eat if you're self conscious of people looking at you while you eat. They have a huge staring problem. On top of that, the chicken with mixed vegetables is basically flavorless and what little flavor there is, it tastes bad. Same with the pork fried rice, very bland and no taste. If I ever come here again, I'll stick to the sweet & sour chicken cuz at least they can get that right.

Best in the area!!! They always serve the food hot fresh and amazing!! Almost every time I go they always give us something extra for free they love their customers and are always friendly. It's small and in a shopping center so it gets over looked. It when I go on the weekend. They have quite a few people!! This is the only place I go to and I have tried 3 others food is bland and cold or overly greasy ❤️❤️

Awesome food at a great price. For 27 dollars you can get drinks, 3 huge lunches, rangoons, egg rolls, and 10 sugar donuts! The staff are also great!

Terrible.the worst food and service I’ve ever eaten and received.lo mein ,fried rice ,and hibachi chicken weren’t fresh also smelled and tasted like garbage making it inedible.we got sick from the few bites we did have.i will be notifying better business because they do not care and they should be ashamed of themselves

Called to order takeout, gentlemen answered the phone, when I said I'd like to place a takeout order he said "Sorry, we're closed today." To which i replied, "then why are you answering the phone?" and he said "sorry" and hung up. Pretty wild, lol. Good luck to anyone else

Delicious! You can tell the vegetables in the veg. fried rice were fresh, and the orange chicken had tons of orange peels to give it that perfect citrus flavor. My only suggestion would be to add as bit of salt to the rice. Portions were very generous!

I’ve never written a review before, and I wish I could give zero stars after what I’ve experienced, but the only option is one star. My boyfriend got food poisoning a few months ago from the chicken, but we figured it was a one-off, since we haven’t had any issues for years. A couple of days ago, we went back for take out, and both were violently ill for the next 48 hours. I had chicken and pork-fried rice, which I’d only taken a few bites of. I’m just now able to eat again as I type this. As someone in the food service industry, I’m horrified that this is seeming to become the new normal. I’ve even heard horror stories of uncleanliness and unprofessional behaviors from personal friends who used to frequent. We will not be back, and we urge you not to as well. Unless you are willing to have your life come to a halt for two days straight; kids, jobs, etc. all out the window.. You’re not doing anything besides running for your bathroom.

I have only eaten here twice. This being my second time, the store when I was in the restaurant they all greeted me with a smile. The store it's self is was clean an the whole environment was clean an relaxing. I recommend this place for any who is hungry.

Found a dead maggot in my food. Asked for a refund, they only wanted to refund me for the item that had a bug in it. And was very rude about giving te refund. Will never go back.

Excellent Mongolian Beef + rice, served hot, in a well insulated bag. Was delicious, and a decent price too!

Just came for a quick meal for my kiddo. We ordered sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken, and sweet and sour. Large portions. Very yummy and there was a lot of meat in the breaded chicken meals. Some places do all batter and breading but this was large pieces of chicken Very yummy. And good prices too

Well i love love chinese food. Favorite here is the sweet and sour chicken and there egg drop soup. 😍😍 everything always tastes great comes out super hot and fresh. The staff there are super nice and kinda know my mom and I since we usually are regular customers there haha.

Went in for lunch and got the sweet and sour chicken. Came with white rice??? I wanted fried rice. Have always gotten it with fried rice. The guy said no it comes with white rice. Charged me 10$ for a drink and box of sweet and sour chicken. With white rice I dont want! Food is ok but I wont go back! You can have your 10$ lunch and white rice!

Definitely the best take out Chinese in fort Walton beach. Ive eaten there pretty regularly for the last 3 years.
